Violinist
Molly began studying violin at the age of 5 in Dallas, studying with Jan Sloman and Emanuel Borok of the Dallas Symphony, Anton Miller, Ida Kavafian, Pamela Frank, & Daniel Heifetz, among others. She graduated from NYU with a dual degree in Music Performance & Psychology.
Molly Fletcher’s work embodies the intersectionality of classical traditions and the modern music world using live looping techniques. Heart-stirring compositions, hair-raising techniques, and mind-curving euphony are all in the mix of her debut EP “rêverie”.
Molly’s work has slipped through to our ears by agency of performance collaborations with artists such as Clean Bandit, Rex Orange County & Paul Simon, in venues including Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, BBC One, Lincoln Center & internationally in Europe and Asia. She recently appeared as a soloist with the Chelsea Symphony performing the Bruch Violin Concerto. Other orchestral credits include concertmaster of NYU Orchestras, Ars Viva Chamber, One World Symphony, & has worked with The Knights & Time for Three.
Often blending her work as a violinist and model, Molly has appeared in Vogue, Marie Claire, Allure, and Essence magazine. She was featured as a violinist in the Maybelline “Make It Happen” campaign alongside Adriana Lima, & regularly performs live during New York Fashion Week.
Simplicity at quick glance, but layered & complex in reality, Molly invites the listener inward with lush cinematic melodies in her solo EP “rêverie”.
